Cooling tower fans must move large volumes of air efficiently, and with minimum vibration. The materials of manufacture must not only be compatible with their design, but must also be capable of withstanding the corrosive effects of the environment in which the fans are required to operate.
Cooling Tower Gearbox
- Right angle double reduction gearbox bevel-helical type
- The fan hub is mounted directly upon the vertically positioned low speed output shaft
- The gear train is designed to provide a minimum service factor of 2.0 based on AGMA rating
- The gearbox is made of cast iron and the gears are made of high grade alloy steel, case-hardened and lapped in pairs
- Over-sized slinger on the input shaft provides excellent lubrication in either direction with the L10 bearing life exceeding 100,000 hrs
Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft:
- Floating type tubular drive-shafts made of composite material is selected for heavy duty and corrosive application
- The flexible elements are also made of composite material with the hub and hardware of stainless steel construction
Drift Eliminators and Clog-free Nozzles
Drift Eliminator:
- Our profile type drift eliminators offer high separation efficiency and are suitable to for the use in medium size and large cooling towers
- The drift eliminator profile is suitable for use in large multi cell cooling tower as well as natural draft cooling towers
- Advantages of our Drift Eliminators over competition:
- High Efficiency (0.0005% drift losses only)
- Low Pressure drop
- Flexibility in dimensions
- Available in PVC and PP
Non-Clogging Nozzles:
- Floating type tubular drive-shafts made of composite material is selected for heavy duty and corrosive application
- The flexible elements are also made of composite material with the hub and hardware of stainless steel construction
Cooling Tower PVC Fills:
- Made from a UV-protected polypropylene copolymer (1.5 mm thick)
- Can be cleaned with high-pressure sprayers
- Can be easily retrofitted to counter flow towers
- Patented Mechanical Assembly (MA) technology for glue-free packs that can be assembled on site
- Modules provide a minimum crush resistance of 500 psf (24 N/m2), which is five times the typical requirement
- Maximum continuous operation at 176°F (80°C)
- Advanced geometry allows for over 3,600 drip points per ft3 (127,000/m3)
- Fire-retardant additives available
